Not the bounce-back kind of resilience. The kind that analyses the system, manages the source code, and keeps leading from the centre when the whole model breaks. Aly Wavish built this framework the hard way — now she teaches it.
“The Architecture of Resilience” — metacognitive endurance in systemic crisis.

Learn more ↓For two decades, Aly built her reputation as the “fixer” in high-pressure environments — retail, commercial property, and precinct strategy. She operated on a singular belief: business outcomes are inextricably linked to human behaviour.
In July 2023, that belief was tested from the inside. A brain tumour diagnosis forced the woman who taught leaders how to handle pressure into five months of enforced stillness. In 2024, her body became a cascading systems failure — pneumonia, joint collapse, evaporating capital — while she tried to reboot her business around it. In early 2025, she retreated to her family's ancestral roots in the Scottish Highlands to do what she does for every client: analyse the system. What she found wasn't collapse. It was the blueprint of a neurodivergent, complex physiology — EDS, POTS, MCAS, ADHD and autism — she'd never had language for.
She stopped surviving and started regenerating. Today Aly leads a team of specialists across her own health the way she once led retail turnarounds, extends the same systemic thinking to her father's care 800km away, and teaches the framework she built to leaders navigating their own version of the same crisis.
Meet the Resilience Matrix →Don't fix the locked knee if the issue is the connective tissue. This applies to a business just as much as a body — Aly stops the whack-a-mole and finds the actual source.
Endurance is not a straight line upward. Sometimes it involves a strategic pause — and the courage to stop everything when the strain is too high.
You cannot control the crisis. But when you understand how you think, how you process data, and how your systems operate, you become the architect of your own survival.
Leadership isn't about avoiding the breakdown — it's the grueling, rewarding work of understanding the systems we inhabit.
Metacognitive Endurance, not “bouncing back.” Aly's named framework for moving from crisis reaction to systemic resolution — built while rebuilding her own health, and now taught directly to leaders and teams.

Treat the symptoms. Push through the pain. Seek quick fixes. View problems as isolated incidents. Chase the “golden goose.”
Analyse the systems. Enforce strategic pauses. Manage the source code. View problems as an interconnected network. Do the grueling work of understanding the host.
Catch the weak signal everyone else writes off as an isolated quirk.
See where daily operations miss the connection between symptom and cause.
Recognise the real, underlying signal driving the surface-level problem.
Treat the root cause — not the symptom — and re-solve it for good.
